From beach picnics to jeep safaris and caving, here are the best things to do in Ibiza for a girls’ getaway.
Ibiza is a truly wonderful island with a lot to do other than party. While Ibiza is known for being one of the best party capitals in the world, the island definitely has more to offer than alcohol and beaches. Ibiza has something for everyone, whether you like to party all night or explore from the natural side.
Formentera is known for its breathtaking views and beaches, with the exception of the glut of clubs in Ibiza. Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands located southeast of Spain, along with Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera and some other small islands. One of the most enjoyable excursions you can take in Ibiza is to head to Formentera, the smallest and least developed of the four main Balearic Islands.
This history and the natural beauty of the Balearic Islands means there is no shortage of family-friendly activities in Ibiza, so get involved with those when you’re letting your hair down.
One of the best places on the island is Ses Salines, a natural park with salt ponds and beautiful beaches. One of the reasons Talamanca Beach is considered one of the best places to stay in Ibiza is that the island’s capital, Ibiza City, offers everything from hostels to budget, mid-range and high-end hotels, with some of the most stunning holiday villas in Ibiza making for the best option for a girls’ getaway.
Now most people don’t associate Ibiza with hiking, but there are so many opportunities for it. The hippie market in Ibiza (in Punta Arabia) is a small place that many people visit.
Ibiza is even touted as a wellness destination, with many yoga retreats and organic restaurants popping up all over the island. An Asian-inspired spa with a gorgeous pool, located inside Atzaro, is not only stunning, but offers some of the best treatments in Ibiza. Ibiza is also known for trance music, dreadlocked nudists, and hallucinogenic nighttime crowds that you don’t normally expect to see in cities like Saint-Tropez or Positano. It was, and is, completely indiscriminate: a place where freethinkers can slumber and dream. In fact, Es Vedra is an uninhabited rocky island off the coast of Ibiza, with which several myths and legends are associated.
Ibiza is what you want and it’s one of the many things that make it magical. Isola Bianca has plenty to choose from, from stunning beaches and baths to hotels, great dining and of course, world-famous parties. Imagine my surprise when I land on Ibiza, full of great restaurants, trendy beach clubs and great people.
Spending a day at the Ibiza Beach Club is one of my favourite things to do. Yes, we know you can do it anywhere in the world, but it’s so tempting (and worth it) to do it after a few drinks in Ibiza. You’ll have the opportunity to swim on a beautiful, remote beach, and although Ibiza jeep safaris are not cheap, the price includes transfers to and from your hotel, as well as a fantastic lunch at a rustic homestead.
